Just want a bit of advice re these pipes. Want my bike to sound the goods but have been warned to go for the baffles as it is way too loud without them. Should I baffle or not?
ive only just put the quiet baffles in mine and i think they sound better they would wake the dead without them i think it depends on things like do you get on with your neighbours cheers.
one other thing do not get a chrome sprocket or lower belt guard with these pipes as i found out but it looks like yours is black anyway cheers
Thanks guys. I'm really torn on this one. On one hand, want to have a stupid grin on my face as I ride out of the dealership, with a "all hell breaking loose" exhaust note. On the other, I don't want my bike to be so loud I'm concerned about starting it for an early ride. If I take it easy in the burbs it should be ok without the baffles shouldn't it? My thoughts are buy the baffles & put them in later if it is too loud.
I've been thinking my bike is just too quiet with the Screamin Eagle Street performance mufflers. I always liked the V&H Short Shots might get a set as well.
KC i had se street performance mufflers before and i thought the same thing does any body know why the straight through se mufflers that are listed for 2005-2006 sporty's cant be used on the later efi models
Hey Toxic. My "stealer" is charging me $720 for Black V&H Shortshots fitted. The quiet baffles are around $130 more. I'm no expert but this is where I'm at at the moment. Maybe use this as a gage.
They are a hot looking set of pipes, and Julie wants a set on her Nightster.
Rogue,....you just answered my question beautifully! No baffles for me!!
Now,...Can anyone work out how to fit the word "OBNOXIOUS"?? into 5 letters for my personalised plate !!! HAHAHAHAHAH!
Thank you guys for all the great help. Will fit the baffles later...depends how big my new neighbour is?
Ahhh, my friend DarkHash. I think we met in Morrocco a couple of years ago....my memories a bit fuzzy though!!(he he).
I've just jumped on PPQ & found an absolute ripper! Will keep you up to date.
Locky.
