Been runnin Metz 880s eva since they came out, 88s b4 that........always liked em! Couldn't fault em!

After buyin new Fatbob in March, thought the Dunlop D427s were OK.........suprisingly better than expected....................BUT!....................have now gone back to ME880 on the back!

CHALK & FUCKEN CHEESE!!!    Give me a Metz 880 anyfuckenday!!!!!!

Besides the obvious in the twisties, after fittin 103 kit, I could light up rear real easy with Dunlop...........not so loose with Metz!!!!!!!

    Burto.

I ran a set of ME 880's (manufactured in Brazil? as I recall) on my 1996 StandardGlide. Fine tyre, no issues, good in the wet and well priced. If you go with the 880's be sure to run an aditional 4-6 psi in the front and 6-8 in the rear in accordance with Metzler specs. Can't tell you about mileage as I sold it before they started wearing.

I like the Dunlop D407 replacement being the D408, but I don't believe they will be available here until all of the old stock D407's are finished. There were issues of scalloping and vibration with some of the D407's in the states on some 09 models. A lot of info is available about this on the net in other forums.

    The votes are in

I run a 200 rear on the fatty. I do high speed 100 - 130k/hr 80% of the time due to where I live.

3 Dunlops on the rear......5000km each (actually only got 2500km out of one of them because I ran the pressure too high) . 2 x Dunlops on the front....10,000km each.

    2 x Avon Cobra's on the rear 5000km each.

Now for the good news....Tried the Pirelli Night Dragon 9750km (nearly double the km's!!!!!) Just fitted my second one this weekend. Guys up here in Darwin are raving about the wear. (excellent) Some are getting up to 15,000km.

I would have fitted one to the front when I was in Adelaide a few weeks ago but none could be found in the whole of SA.

Got the last rear in Darwin on Saturday. Bike shop having trouble getting them because of the demand.

I tried different pressures etc with all my tyres and this is what I have ended up with.

Until something better comes along, it's Pirelli Night Dragon for me. http://www.pirelli.com/tyre/ww/en/motorcycle/sheet/night_dragon.html
