Rocka + rain = no go

Ridin 100k trip home recently, very heavy continual rain. The motor started missing when screwing throttle on, ie passing a car or just givin it a fistful and upping the revs. I'm sure it was water getting in somewhere.I'd had the rocka dynoed hrs before this ride back home and it was going good in the rain for the first 20 odd k's. I've go a Screaming E air cleaner, forward facing cone shaped jobby with the rain sock on it. Could it have been too much rain for the sock to handle?  Nearly home and less rain happening and the bike running fine. Would it be the sock? or some other area on twin cams to make em behave that way in heavy rain?

Jilli had the same problem with her heavy breather not so long ago, pouring rain and bike running like shit with no sock, i suggested she go to a store and buy some cheap panty hose, cut the legs off them, double them over and put them over the breather and tie them off, she did all this and then rode another couple of hours in the rain without any more dramas, seemed to work.

nope ive had the SE heavy breather on...ran it in some pretty heavy down pours with out the sock on for a good 2 hours...i had to stop because the rain was running down the inside of my mask it was that heavy...before the SE breather i had the pointy cone type breather same deal in some of the heaviest down pours WA had..same same??..go figure...maybe the air filter oil gave it some protection???

I have my filter open.... had a similar problem but it didn't last and was riding for some 2 hours in the rain. As it is the only time this has happened I have to think that the rain had something to do with it
