A run from the base of the hill on Gt Eastern Hwy to as far east as you are game to go. Departure time and exact location yet to be decided but it will be early. Guarenteed to be a long hot boring ride (or pissing down with rain knowing my luck) on a double demerits long weekend to a rather unexciting destination.

End of day one stop will be Great Western Motel Norseman.

If you bring a head gasket to suit a harley along for the entire run I will buy you a beer in Norseman and let you find your own way home when you are ready.

    cheers

Thanks WIllee. Corrected that mistake. Its not like I am going to buy you a beer just for riding 1400km or more.

Also need to note this is a public holiday Monday ride with Tuesday also being a public holiday.

    cheers

I hope you all had a great Xmas, I certainly did......

there is a bit of softcockism going around, Beeza has chickened out as has Piggy and a few others that might have made it part of the way, but never mind Surly and I will carry the flag accross the border and show them croweaters,Vics and Tassie devils what it's all about LOL....

No doubt Surly will keep yas up to date with his mobile telecomunications...

We made it to Norsie despite Bob's battery not wanting to play ball and a bit of a late start.

The  ride was nowhere near as hot as I expected and hopefully nice n cool today.

We over took this old Bitsushiti Van sitting on 80 in a string of traffic just out of Coolgardie and it caught us up while we were waiting.

The err tailgate was worth taking a picture of

We were expecting more along so bought a stack of beers but had to drink them all ourselves.

    Talk again soon.

    cheers

Bits identified as inner primary bearing and clutch support bearing. New primary chain is going in and if they could of landed their hands on an SE compensator that would of gone in too.

Hopefully the bits turn up today and we are on our way again this arvo.

Pigironbob if these havent been replaced in your bike I suggest you do them and I think Baker and S&S make alternate/better options.

    cheers

Well howdy farking do to you all.......

    What a ride......

For the curious, we covered some 10500 kms...Stayed in 18 motels/pubs....did 300 kms of twisties in the Blue Mountains....Got breathalised on top of Mt Hotham...went through 5 states, very confusing. Got very wet in Tasmania and didn't get to see any of the Tassie countryside cept through a fogged up visor...

The bunky old red softail didn't miss a beat and now has some 73000 ks on her....

And if ya wanna see a world class HD dealer go to Richardson's in Prospect (Launceston) it will blow ya mind...good service, happy people and unreal surrounds....

Will post up some pics in the next few days...

I'm not sure but I think Surly still likes me !!!!!......
