Looking at a little sporty bobber with an ironhead in it..

What can you tell me about the pros and cons of these engines?

Any help greatly appreciated..

hi,  the 1972-73 sporty barrels only bore out too + 0.040" oversize as it's the 1st of the 1000.cc motors  & has it's own barrel / head bolt pattern , as the later 1974 sporty has the later thicker barrel's can be bored out to o  0.060" - 0.070" max same barrel & head too 1985 model ,  cheers
