Dyno Tunning Older Bikes

    Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is much benifit in getting an older bike dyno'd...Now I have the stage 1 kit and cam in my bike (1995 FXSTC) and it's running great I am wondering if a dyno tune is going to be benneficial...

    Dyno eh, well it never made a lot of sense to me, strapping a bike down, then flogging it real hard to work out if it is going ok. I reckon a quick run down the road works just as well and does not cost as much, also seems easier on the bike as well.

    Good mate of mine put a nice flattie on the road a while ago and had that on the dyno, that made no sense either. if you are trying to wring every last bit of go out of something and need to know what it is doing at what rev then go for it. If not then go for a ride.

    from my Dyno days, They were great for development work and fault finding when breaking down at a certain rev or under a certain load. Unfortuneatly these days people get hung up on the numbers, its a bit like how big your dick is but it really means nothing if the person is not driving it the right way.
