Have been using ATF type F in my primary (as suggested in this forum) and noticed a fair bit of crap on the magnet of the sump plug....about the same at the last 2 oil changes.........change my oil and filter every 5000 klms.....22000 klms all up.........Its got me worried as the engine oil sump plug is spotless every time .......using mobil 1 in the engine.

well you always get crap out of the clutch & magnet picks it up. i would normaly change primary more than the engine oil.
i've used ATF Type F from new 01 over 80,000k and a lot of it racing no problem. still original primary chain.

Have the new bikes ( mine is 01 year ) still got an inspection cover? i just take inspection cover off to do primary chain oil change.
Derby only on my 09 Softail.
must only use the inpection with mid control shift as shift has to come through primary.
with forward controls i can see how it would clean up the looks, just it's easy doing primary oil change through inspection & checking primary chain adjustment.
