Hey all - I've been posting for a while here but never thought/realised I should post a "hello!" here - oops. My excuse is I've only had a Harley now for 3 weeks, having fallen in love with one I saw in a showroom 5 weeks ago (why I go to bike shops is beyond me - I always leave with an emptier wallet).
Anyway, I'm now a proud 2010 Iron 883 owner and loving every part of it and the whole Harley experience. I even made it to my first HOG Sydney Chapter meeting last night, which was great fun and I'm looking forward to getting on a ride with them all.
There was a lot of talk about the upcoming National Rally, which just sounds too good to be true. Alas, work prevents me from joining in (+ lack of experience in riding with large groups) so I can't join that and meet even more owners from around oz but I'll definitely be looking to make it to the one next year... and even a NSW one before that.
I got a lot of support of the guys here in the forum before I settled on the Iron (and even ultimately bought it off a forum member), so I just wanted to say "hi, I'm damo" formally and thanks for all the help in choosing the bike, getting the bike, and then making it even better. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys on a ride (or otherwise). I've got one eye on the "rides" threads and the other eye on the road. But seriously, the support from the forums just made it so much easier to join the Harley world.
Cheers, Damo

G'day Damo
welcome to the forum
Welcome damo, catch you on a ride sometime, (but not a sydney hog one), lol
Welcome Daimoh hope you enjoy the forums and congrats on the new Harley.
G'day Damo,
You wouldn't happen to be the 'Damo' I was riding with on Sunday with Kees and the boys to Mt White. I'm Chris with the shiny new Street Bob and bad sense of direction. By the looks of the weather this week (and in general), it looks like I'm going to have to invest in some wet weather gear sooner rather than later if I want to get out as much as I plan to.
Anyway, if it is you, enjoyed the ride and no doubt will be out on the road with you again soon or at a Sydney HOG meeting.
Cheers,
Chris.
