I'm looking into this at the moment... just took delivery of my 2013 Street Bob and got a set of V&H 3' slash slip ons on the way. I can't see myself going anything beyond a stage one *famous last words*... Still looking at air filter options, but..

Do you reckon its worth the coin? Guess its cheaper that the SERT... but not as cheap as a PCV, or FuelPak, or...

Thinking of getting the Fuel Moto power vision and filter combo from Jamie. Whadda ya reckon?

keep in mind the things you can use it for apart from loading a tune.
Turn off AC crap when you change from stock filter, turn off exhaust flapper valve when you change from stock exhaust, correct your speedo, turn off ACR when you change heads and go MCR, data log to see how things are going, auto tune to a degree and if you want use it as a set of gauges

Hi guys ... recently had PC V installed and Dynoed ... I know absolutely nothing about computers but guy up here in Logan area let me be in Dyno room with him the whole time and was real easy to talk to and ask questions of .

My bike , 2008 FXSTC ... standard about 67 hp , or there abouts ... I had a set of Freedom Shortys on as well as a S&S Stealth Air Clearner , and that's it ... he removed O2 sensors and put in bungs , got a base reading of 73 hp ... did roughly 3 to 4 hours of Dyno work , first on front cylinder through each gear getting best possible outcome then the same on rear cylinder ... End result 80 hp .

He says it may have been higher with a different / better style of pipe but considering he thought it was pretty good ... all I know is the pride and joy is more responsive and pulls much harder through the gears ... reading the last 11 pages on this thread I didn't seem to find much in the way of improvement figures ... are the figures I have mentioned in the ok department or should I have expected more .

Like I said it sure feels better to me but was courious after reading all of your replys in this thread .

you picked up 7 hp and what ever torque I would say thats a good result

Thanks Ozy ... yeah it definitely feels better , like I said base reading of 73.57 Hp up to 80.30 and a base reading of Torque 87.46 up to 94.37 ... I know its not stump pulling power but if I wanted to go racing then I would buy a Drag bike , Lol .

More than likely down the road a bit I will want more grunt and then I will look at Cams and some head work ... some will say nothing beats Cubic Inchs but the Twin Cam heads have so much improvement in them and correct me if I am wrong but isnt the best way to get a motor working better is to make it breath better .

Anyhow if anyone else has opinions feel free to pass them on as that is what I like about this forum .

breathing will help for sure. Depending on how many km's on it maybe when you do the heads budget for a few more cubes at the same time. End result a fresh motor and overall improvement.
    Logan tuner.. Pro Cycle??

Yeah ... Fred at Pro Cycle , bloody easy guy to talk to ... I might be wrong but I think he is also a multiple national drag race champion , and a pretty quick one at that ... in the very low 7 seconds .

    Thanks for advice Ozy .

yes mate he is a multi title holder and is or about to be back in USA for a few weeks looking for parts for a new drag bike to go at it again.
He certainly is a very easy guy to talk with and get along with.
I can't recommend him highly enough from my personal experiences.
If your thinking of head work and cams include Fred in your advice list as they have built many engines there and dynoed a heap more so they will have a good idea of what works well.

M&M has the PV for $455 but postage will bring it up to around $500 Oz.

Im running A cobra powerpro auto tune( Piggy Back tuner) which works ok  but have recently added SE 211 cam and S&S twin runner A/C, its a 103 fatbob with smart parts baffles in the 2into2 V&H big radius.

Im hoping I don't have any problems retrieving the stock base map from the ECM, the Cobra as been on it since the bike was new.

It runs pretty good on the Cobra but should get more power gains with the PV-2

looking forward to playing with the new turner, my even get Maztech in Melbourne to run it through the dyno just to get peck performance out of it after I get my head around playing with it a bit.

Thamks for the info mate, Finally got on the computer and had a look. Was using the iphone. I was thinking about finding somebody with one and buying a license etc, then work out a deal with the owner of the Power vision. IE couple cartons of beer to do a quick tune or something. might even look at getting one between a couple mates etc

Might work for you BUT then the owner of the unit can't use it on his next bike.

    Hi Guys,

The firmware I updated to last Monday had some issues for sure. That is the first time a new firmware didn't make some really good changes. The new firmware released on Tuesday the 2nd Sept fixed the problems from the prior one. I have done 3 Custom maps with it now and it has no problems at all. Really works well.

    Cheers Brian.
