broken compensater nut

    i read some where that the ideal temp for a harley 200 to 240 f  i do have a oil temp gauge in my tank but i dont beleave it  i just come back from a 2hour ride  and it was reading 130f  at 26deg air temp .i do have a oil cooler which does make a dffrence on the hotter days..

    i run penrite dino oil  in my mtrs

    temp sounds good

    Also as far as belt product I tried Inox temperarly on belt, noise went away immediatly. I have been searching for this noise for ever it seems, even pulled out gearbox, replaced wheel bearings inner primary bearings checked out swing arm bushes and swing arm bolts for wear, fucken everything, a drop of oil, noise gone. Fuck me.Belt chirp they call it. never had it. Never heard of it. Learnt shit loads though.

    My 87 FXR would like a new exhaust.Shes thinking Vance/Hines,the only style I can get are short shots.Do you think that you would lose too much horse power or what??

    i would't a mate had them on hes evo lowrider and after about hour  killer head ache  and got a sticker changed to long shots heaps better on a ride  and was still well above dba level but thay let slide  after he told them he had just spent $$$ on new longer pipes
