Quarter Mile

    Has anyone run their 1200 Sportster down the quarter mile?  Interested in the time and speed verus bike spec.

    Hi Sssmour,

    While it was stock, apart from a set of slip-ons, my '05 1200 Custom ran 13.6 consistently @ 157kmh (97mph).

     

    Haven't tried it with new a/c, yet.  Will wait until I have the carb rejetted & tuned then take it back for a few more passes.

     

    Cheaper than a dyno to let you know if the mods have improved performance and a bucket,load more fun too!

    Thanks Flash,

    Since my first post I have done runs at Willowbank with a best of 13.2 and 101mph. Pretty happy with that. I have since fitted a SE heavy breather air cleaner and redone the TTS. Hopefully get some more runs at Willowbank in July.
