Hi fastapastor, that was at west syd, they call it sydney drags now, third round of track championship in screamin eagles two weeks back. got the feel of the bike so gets easier. but suspention is a bit soft, i want to get Shock Treatment to set up suspention.
At same meet my mate's 113 05 carb lowrider ran 10.9 120mph one of Frazers Street Bob EFI ran 10.9 121mph, so we are all going good as all street bikes stock frames street tyres foot shift,
Good to see you posting OZ.
Nado what i ment by stock 01 heads is i'm useing stock cast not aftermarket or SE, i have wood's Springs, as my mate in USA sent a new set over free. they were spot on advertised val;ve seat pressures as we checked. i have it set up to take S&S 625 Cams. i went back to the 55's ( long story ) had ran 121mph trap speed with 625 cam but could not get ET down, i'm going to put the 625 cams back in as have since found a trick to get the stock CV51 55cams to almost match the 625's with S&S D, was always faster speeds with 625. just want to see what i can get a 95 twinky to do. would also like to go to the salt lake with it.
Just thought i would mention, Gonzo up Brisbane did a lot of work with Mark Wacker Harleys pipes
I made a set of 2into 1 years ago and they need to be tuned length, that is both pipes need to be the same length at the collector. If the engine has a bit of work done, that is when it will be known. 2 into 1 really tell the story well. I think they suit my old rigid fine, and depending on the collector, you can play with the baffle setup to get exactly the noise you want. It took me a while to get it just right for me. Every time I start it I am happy I spent the time fooling with it, as it did take some time. But that was about 20 years ago now and I cant remember how long I mucked with it, but I do remember how it sounds every time I hit it . 2 into 1 always.
