It's got nothing to do with cheap labour or cheap parts etc. The whole issue is massive import duties India imposes so to get around it the bike will be shipped from the USA in a kinda kit form then assembled in India. No or little import duty. HD have been doing the same thing into South America for over 14 years.

WOW Harley to India. I worked at Holden for years and we were always reminded about the asian dollar and how cheap it was to make cars overseas. I might have to buy my Harley alot sooner.. You wouldn't want to drive your latest VE SS series 2 made out of India.
