Can you lower your seat some? Also, there are aftermarket easy installation products available. One is what ZYBAN listed above. If you know someone handy that can make it for you, better yet. Some just clamps right on the the side-stand (kickstand).

Make sure you post something up as you go along for others to reference the result.

That is what will make your riding experience more pleasurable. I commend you on the crafty part of it for really an inexpensive FIX. Just because you can't reach the kickstand does not mean that you are short....You just have short legs than most other folks!

On another note...knowing me...I would trip over it if I did what you did. lol
