Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the rear rim will fit under a 2007 wideglide with standard rear gaurd ect. Im after some custom wheels and dont mind these at all. Im pretty sure the front wil be fine with the right bearings but have no idea on the rear. Any input would be great.

What is the widest rims people have on the rear?

Surely someone has put wider/taller rims on a later model wideglide.

Just have to measure swingarm width & gard width & work it out. but on 01 dyna i've seen a few people fit early Duece rear wheel, but they had to take some metal off brake caliper for clearance, but was easy fit.

 

18" x 5.5" rear will fit, I have one on my 08 Street Bob, small mods needed to give clearance under the guard etc, nothing major

Rans, i havnt had a chance to fit tail light yet mate and the only change made is an air cleaner at the moment. I still have your email addy here and will shoot your some pics as soon as i get some stuff done to it bro.

Thanks for the info guys, looks like i will be ordering pipes and a set of wheels early in the new year now. Probly be getting them from the usa as i havnt seen any that i like for sale in oz that i like at a reasonable price.

What pipes did you go with rans?

Not sure if you are still looking at these mate but I just got a set of these for my 07 WG from the same guy by the looks of it.

I will have them fitted after Christmas and let you know how they fit.

The guy seems like a decent bloke and chucked in the brake discs for a little extra as well and didn't charge any extra for shipping.

They arrived in a week very fast shipping.

I have been told the biggest you can go is 18. 5.5 with a 180 on it

I went with the V&h Big shots staggered, after a conversation with Dave Milne from Supercycles in WA.
These are one of the best for putting out extra power, I also liked the Big Radius, but some mates have them and on start up they blow dirt and shit everywhere apparently,
And they dont make anywhere near as much power as the Big Shots Staggered.
Got them from the states for $ 517 AD, can you believe that price.... Stealers down here want a grand.
