Not a lot of work to do, I just cut the wires of the original light near the bulbs and soldered the other ones on.  Had a look at the wiring diagram in the service manual and it was a peice of cake.

My new headlights arrived today, they sent side mount instead of bottom mounted model.

Bob, where did you get the new mounts for the headlights?

Mine came with bottom mounts. They have both side and bottom mounts on their site.

Bob, I rang Busters last night they said they only have side mount on the website, apparently a new website. Anyways the old site is still up so was able to show them they do advertise the bottom mounted units she had to go away to talk to the boss. She rang back and said they can't get the bottom mounted units now so will send to single headlights with bottom mount.

That's good, at least you will get the bottom mounted ones. They are really good, the guys I ride with reckon they are pretty effective. I changed the globe in mine to a more white one from Repco by Narva, just makes it stand out more for the silly cage drivers.
If you don't have to send the side mounted ones back they will fit some of the Ducati range.

Bob, they are sending the right ones and said keep the ones they have sent, still concerned I won't get the mounting brackets but I can always get them here. I have ordered the lights in black, should go well with the new Burleigh Bars Rollers in black. Just ordered the 50 fat spoke radialis in black 18" from Wright Wheels from the USA.

GB... like the direction... after visiting Dave I too am likely to go the roller bar although I will get powdercoated here as he is having trouble with his local guy. Also saw those rims in black on Big Joes bike... nice... if i don't go that direction on wheels I will powdercoat mine and use stainless spokes... seen some locally and look hot

Not from a FatBob, they will not fit a Street Bob as the Fatbob has double head lamps that are joined together, that is 1 piece.

It's an old thread. If you were wanting to upgrade for the purpose of increasing visibility, you'd want to go LEDs
