Some blokes do it some say ya dont need to,, I think its a good idea when ya change from mineral to syn or when ya change brands of oil, all depends on how fussy ya wanna be with the bike u paid oh so much for... your choice!

Yeah, I thought it would be good for the mineral to sin too

Just the same as turning the motor over and waiting for the fresh oil to come out of your pump before you put the filter on.
