     Hello Lads

So I changed my clutch cable today and as I expected, I ended up dumping a bit of the oil out that was under the clutch release plate.

Anyways, now the dipstick is on the lower level and I want to know if I can top it up with some oil that I have here.

It is Castrol EPX Transmission oil 80/W90  and states on the side...

Castrol EPX 80W/90 is an extreme pressure hypoid lubricant designed

for the protection of heavily loaded steel gears. It is recommended for

use in differentials, gear boxes, and steering gear of passenger cars,

trucks, farm tractors, earthmoving and excavating machinery requiring

a hypoid or extreme pressure lubricant.

    API Service Classification, GL5

Can I use it to top up?

Yes you can GL5 covers oil from 75W90-75W140, the small amount that you will top it up with wont have any affect.
you can drop it later on.

    cheers

Fantastic!! It is on the low mark, so I only need a dribble.
