    Hi,

New to Harleys and new to this forum.  Considering purchasing a new Nightster and wondering what a good price for one is?  Also what sorts of deals are common with the dealers?

In case it makes a difference, I'm in Sydney.

    Thanks in advance - Tim

hi Tim, single colour laced wheels is a tad over $16,600, dealers won't budge on the price of a new one unless it's last years runout maybe, best you can hope for is a better price / free fitting on extras / bling

and or a demo if there is still a 2010 around.

You can pay more second hand if it has heaps of bling

Hey Tim - welcome to the club! I myself am only a couple of weeks old too (the forum & Harleys). Hopefully will see you on a ride soon...

I tried very hard to negotiate with the dealer, but he wouldn't budge. He did give me a couple of hundred bucks off accessories but wouldn't move on the bike. I think the thing is that these bikes just move off the floor anyway (and why wouldn't they? They're awesome!) and so they know that if they don't do a deal with you then the next guy in the door half an hour later will be their next sale.

In the end I couldn't reach an agreement with the dealer and bought second hand (and ended up with a much, much nicer bike in the end anyway).

    Hi Tim,
Welcome to the forum. Dealers won't discount the bike which in a way is a good thing as it holds the secondhand resale value up, not like the Jap bike dealers and car dealers who prostitue themselves and their products! All I got was a discount on some accessories. But hey I'm not sad as I got the bike I wanted and I love it.
