Cheers all
I don't think it would be nice to ride anymore. Looks cool though.
I agree. Wish I could get one to occasionally attach for short runs....
I know nothing about sidecars, but assume they have to be welded to the bike frame and checked for RWC...?
Anyone have sidecar experience?
Probably end up having a single spring seat/ king and queen swap over, but love the WW2 look a sidecar can give

The just bolt on, I haven't ridden one but am told they are quite different to ride and a bit scary at first.

Actually pretty easy to to do on a late model rubber mount sporty
The two lower mounts that you set up as the hinge points have lots of welded lugs and bolt holes that you can mount off. these set the toe in amount of the side car chassis.
The head stock and rear subframe are massive and gives lots of choices for the two strut bars that set the centre of lean out.
For the forks mate your on your own typically you rego your bike withe the telescopics and then go and fit a set of leading link forks you reduce the trail to some where about 2 to 3 inches max.
Riding them is another matter trailing throttle in left handers(Chair pulls bike to the left) and accelerate in right handers (need to swing chair around the bike)
Any questions fire away mate ridden them built them but never owned one (all for mates)

Oh by the way check out this link pne of the best books on the subject building riding set up and all

Have driven sidecars on dirt track racing before, so the drag is cool... would only be for round the city trips in melb anyways...
Thanks for all info
Not exactly modern, but I still have both the bike and sidecar (not currently joined together but that's only about 1/2 hour's work). Whole lotta fun - especially good for circle work
