Gave my 09 Fatty a bit of a make over recently and thought Id post several pics of it. I got rid of the apes and put some 1 1/2" Burleigh Rollers on, Resprayed with Black and some subtle blue/ purple pearl and a design I got from the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis. Also fitted HHI (Hawg Halters) 4 Degree raked trees (now 35Deg Rake) and 4" over forks with progressive springs, Founales shocks, a 103 Big bore kit. My first ride with it raked was 1800 Klms over a 3 day weekend with a dozen mates. Took a little getting used to but its great now. No high speed wobbles!!

    Cheers Clem

Hey Crasher thanks. Never had any wobble problems either pre rake at high speed. Just wasn't sure after raking what it would be like but ended up all good!!

Hey Chilly, was going to buy them thru Rollies but made a last minute decision to go to Sturgis this year so bought them in Rapid City from HHI and brought them back in my luggage. So much good cheap shit over there!!

Nice!!!! the rake looks real natural, meaning the way it should look........i think the wobble thing usually comes from a cross wind on a solid front wheel.

Hi Harvey, Replaced the tripple trees, they come with 2" over, plus I already had 2" over forks for a little extra clearence with progressive front springs.

    Thanks all

    Cheers Clem

Hi Darkash69, Just did a run out to Bathurst via Goulban, Oberon etc last weekend, raised the rear end for the ride (Fournales) softened the preload and had a ball, no scraping and well and truly used to the rake now. It handles great once you get used to it.

Hi there SkullsnFlames, I checked for a part number, no luck. These trees were made by Hawg Halters Inc and only refer to the trees as " Fatboy Triple Trees". Hers a link http://www.hawghalters.com/#/shop/product/41FBxRx . I changed my bars because of the extra 4 Deg angle on the top of the trees. The apes would end up to close to me. Plus I wanted something a little more comfortable for those long runs. Dave up at Burleigh Bars made my new bars to suit the extra degrees in the trees.

Looks good. I am waiting for my set of raked trees to turn up. Much better raking in the frame than the trees but finding someone to do it properly is impossible since the new laws stopping mods to the frame have come in. Bob Martin did a fatty of mine years ago, (5 degrees) handled great but has closed his doors since the new laws.

Mate theres a bloke in Brisbane who straightens frame and does raking to harley's. he's at Springwood Bob Kellet, a really cluey bloke. I've seen his wok on a Fatboy with 4 degree rake and 2" over looked great. Your bike looks great too Clem.
