So I managed to get a couple of hours off today. What to do?? Service the bike.. Changed the oil and filter, primary oil. (I used ATF this time), can't feel any improvement over standard 20/50 or HD Primary fluid, primary chain OK. Lubed the throttle cables, clutch cable and lever. Serviced the air filter (did'nt go too heavy handed on the oil this time), checked brake lines and fluid..all good. Topped up transmission fluid, checked belt and tyres...ready to ride!!! Saved at least 400 bucks, and am now enjoying a cold beer!! The missus is working till 9.00..peace and quiet, life's good man!!!

Well done. What oil did you use on your cables? What's the story with that?

I do not get the "topped up trans fluid" part.
Unless there was a leak, or it was previously incorrectly filled, it does not really make sense.
