Me again, wow two posts in a row, I must be a regular!!

K&N have a few different filters available.  I'm familiar with the HD1499, which has the same shape & metal case as a stock HD element and you can buy for about $100. Wondering if anyone has used the larger RK3909 or 3910 models? They come with a new back plate and the element is nearly the same size as the 'footy' shaped a/c cover on TC models.

Was thinking about a Pro Hypercharger but after intensive internet research am starting to wonder if they are really just for show!! (no offence to those that have them fitted...  .)

I'm innerested in the 3910, but if the velocity stack is 'fudged' will the filter still work properly?

Does the air cleaner element stick out from the stock Harley a/c cover?
Have you ever re-oiled the washable element?
