Recently bought a TIMBUK2 Maverics Messenger Bag www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/messenger/mavericks-messenger

As a motorbike rider that rides everyday no matter what the weather, I already have the dry bags (roll style) that go on the luggage racks but they are not sutiable for carying everything. So I had been after a waterproof messenger bag for some time. Finally I took the plunge and bought a maverick messenger bag. They are not cheap at $150 and when it first arrived, I admit I was initially underwhelmed but that feeling was very shortly lived. despite there being no padding in it, it can be a very comfy bag to wear. When you open it up it initially looks liker there are no pockets but as you look further inside there are over a dozen or so compartments hidden in it. The strap lengths are very generous. which allows the bag to fit an amzing amount of gear in it. I have been able to get around the excessive strap length by using velcro tape. to roll them up.

I have used it in several times in really havy rain and it sure does keep your gear dry.

In Summary. All in all it is waterproof nd keeps your gear dry, it's easy to carry and can fit a bucket load of stuff in it. As it ages it starts to look better too. But they are expensive.
