Yesturday I went to Rocky Harley to get some prices on stuff for my 08 Dyna SuperGlide. Only two things I asked for could I get out of a large list. I wanted a head light kit fairing, not possible (sorry one very ugly thing that looks like it belongs on an old bmw), I wanted a tacho not possible, I wanted a set of indicator relocators don't have any, I wanted a new set of 10mm leads don't have any,I wanted a lower spoiler only one to choose from. Wanted a white wall front tyre 19" front not possible,I wanted a fork brace he said don't do them but I found it in the book. When I got my Dyna most people say they are a blank canvas to do what you want, I'm finding this is not the case. What is the best bike to get parts for? I guess if I wanted to wait they could order everything. I'm very disapointed in the lack of options I have for my 08 model.
Shovelhead..all years
I got my V&H outlaw indy 2-1 from ebay (great price) got the heavy breather and power commander from Gladstone got my bars from the sunshine coast, I'm just trying to makeit more mine, just frustrated..
As hard as I look no-one does a good looking headlight fairing (small) for my 08, last I saw was a 05 down .
What shut down Gladstone HD, what going on? They did a good job on my bike I was very happy well worth the trip.
There are options if you look

It's all out there for all models just keep looking.
To make your bike unique there is great joy in finding that hard to get part that will set your bike out against the others
fasta, had I have known I would have picked you up the Custome Chrome 2011 part catalgoue at the Morgan & Wacker open day yesterday. In the Victory shop which they share with Rollies (which I think was the old Harley shop) just down from Morgan & Wacker they were selling 'em off for $10. The things looks as big as an extended version of War & Peace. Wouldn't have cost much to post either. If you couldn't find some bling in that thing then...
Another thing if you go to www.jpcycles.com/ you can enter your exact year bike and then search for the parts and it will actually mention if it's compatible with your year amd model. Don't have to buy from them just a good reference tool for part numbers and prices.
Hopefully when I finish the FXD whenever that is, I want to buy a nightster or an Iron some sort of sporty for my wife (daily rider for me really). I"ve seen some nicely done ones in the sportster section.
