TTS & Closed Loop Bias Tables?

    G'day,

Just started to VTune my ride (08 NT), I've done a couple of runs & I seem to be going well. Looking back through the manual & reading some post on here Im not sure what to do with the CLB? When I set up the map for VTuning I wasn't to sure about it & just left it as is.

My question, is it ok to leave it or should I change it? If so what setting should I use?

    Cheers, Whitey

Run mine at 720, recommended by a previous poster who seemed to be a fair bit knowledgeable on the subject.

Found a couple of threads but most of them are answered by scotty & all his posts have been removed, so all the important info is missing?

But what I can see most people are setting it between 600 - 750 with 720 being the preferred setting.

So if I change mine up to 720 should I start VTuning from scatch or can I do a couple more runs & go with that?

HI mate this is part of a post Ozroder put up about the CLB.
As i understand it it will give you a good mix of performance and mileage and help the motor run cool.
It is what i did my Vtune runs with and my bike runs really well and im getting about 167 km before the yellow light comes on around town.
Pretty happy all up with that setting.
You will probably have to start Vtune runs again as this is one table you need to decide upon before you start tuning as the system uses the CLB table to adjust for the best AFR as i understand it.
please chime in any one if im incorrect here.

Closed Loop Bias................these tables let you adjust the AF/R base table above to plus or minus the set AF/R and the amount of change is slight..............adding to this table lets the motor actually run slightly richer which helps in performance slightly but mostly helps in your motor running cooler........and is the simplest and most efficienct way to move your AF/R up or down..................again you could possibly achieve slightly better performance/economy on a dyno but the effort to achieve the slightest improvement is possibly not worth adjusting these cells individually................taking away from this table lets you run leaner than the AF/R table states................using the same number across the board lowers each of the effected cells the same amount............I have tried every combination and have come away with 720 as the most suitable CLB to use................this provides for a cooler running motor............if this is not enough you can increase the number to suit but this does lead to the O2 sensors wearing out sooner........

    Cheers

V-Tune is a software application that is included in the TTS tuning kit. It is used to calibrate the bike's VE tables such that the ECU is happy and doesn't need to make much real time adjusting. The software monitors what the O2 equipped ECU is doing as you ride (you ride with a laptop) and then uses the data to make better maps to download into the stock ECU. End result is a nicely running bike without the need for add on modules like the PC.
