I hear your pain.... I hate the fuoking  things...

I just bought my set from the "Sidchrome" catalogue.... they aren't actually Sidchrome brand but they are sold by Sidchrome and come with lifetime warranty. They are available from SuperCheap Auto and are pretty good quality for $50.

Snap-On Tools all the way here, i use mine almost every day at work, i have found that the "cheaper" branded ones don't/wont last long at all, as with all my tools, anything that i use alot i buy top quality as i hate using "shit" tools that break and strip bolts/nuts/screw...

Torx bits come in 2 types "security' and solid buy the solid type e.g no hole in the centre of bit. The solid ones are for mechanical work, the type with the hole in the centre are for working on your girl friends hair dry or your Jap bike.

I get all my tools from Repco.

Good quality and a lifetime warranty.

A set of Torx bits in 3/8 drive cost me about 50 bucks.

Blue point are the snap on cheapy line.
    Lower price, and less warranty.

Snap on have several different quality(and of course price)levels in their torx range.

And remember, snap on does not have to be bought as a set. You can buy just the one size you need, and it is no more expensive.
(It was always that way, and I believe it still is).
I do not buy a lot of snap on anymore, as it rarely needs replacing, and I have what I need.

ive used cheap ones = shit - im using a set i got at supercheap now - and so far im impressed - however snap on and bluepoint are also good quality tools but very expensive. i prefer to change the torx bits out to button head in hex's - looks better and a really good set of allen keys is all you will need and much more useful in the workshop than a set of torx bits u only use on 1 thing.
snap on allen keys = about $55 last set i bought - and that was 10 years ago and they are still going strong - except the 4 mm that i twisted the end as i had a 2 foot pipe hanging off it ....hahaha

what works best for me is, fit the torx bit, give it a few good hits with a hammer then undo.
