Fork cup set

Howdy, wanting to add some rake to the front end (obviously) and not knowing a hell of a lot about doing it I thought I'd pose a question to the experts.

Doing some basic research on the net a lot of people are saying that raked trees aren't the way to go because of trail at speed and are saying to use a 'fork cup set' like the one in the attached link. Is this a simple job to swap out and would this work?

Much appreciated. I'll put my order tomorrow and give it a shot. Sounds relatively easy. I though they'd give instructions but there's nothing better than getting info from someone direct. As long as it's not a friggin Ikea kit I should be able to do it.

Any before and after pics of ya shovel?

    Thanks again.

I can google search for a before shot. Think the cups will do me, especially as I'm not going to replace forks and sliders which will bring the front down 50mm to coincide with the shorter shocks on the back. I also found I can't go any longer than 2" extended forward controls due to the upright stance of the front end so with the cups I'll see how I go there to, could kill heaps of birds with one stone.

Much appreciated for all the help. I'll put me order in after the dyno tune on Thursday.

    Thanks again.

Thanks Dingo. It will look almost identical to my bike when I throw them in. Are they 3" extended forwards?
Good to see her when you have the front end back together with the 6deg rake.

I had them on with stock front end, no problems, thats a 21" front wheel on the front too so with a 19 you'd have even more space
