Hi All,
Just bought my first Harley after years of being a Jap sports bike rider and I have to admit that I have often turned my nose up at the thought of riding a Harley but a couple of months ago, Mark at Team Moto Springwood let me ride a few harleys to see what I thought of them. As soon as I had a ride on a Dyna low rider I was hooked and decided I had to have one. I am now wondering why I haven't tried one before.
So I have been looking around since and finally put a deposit on a 2008 FXDC with 7k on the clock from Mark at Team Moto as he was the only dealer in the area that would let me test ride a few bikes that day a couple of months back. It is an awesome looking bike and I can't wait to pick it up as I am at work on an drill rig in Bass Strait at the moment and don't pick it up till I get home on the 14th October. It is going to be a long 2 weeks.
I have stumbled accross this fine forum and I look forward to meeting some of you for a ride at some stage. I live in Parkinson on the south side of Brissy and can easily do mid week rides as I work 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. This is my first Harley so I have alot to learn about them. I am very excited about it all really.

Welcome Bill hope you enjoy the forums and congrats on the new harley and yes it will be the longest 2 weeks.I bought a 2010 dyna 2 weeks ago and i had to wait 4 days to pick it up that was bad enough.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I do look forward to meeting some of you when I get home and pick up my bike. I will be sure to post pics when I get it home if I can stop riding it long enough to do so haha.
