i parked my bike in the townsville cbd . later i came back to find a parking fine on my bike where the parking ticket used to be .

 i went to the council and made a statement as to what happened , a week later i recieved a letter stating that if i could come up with the original ticket i would not be fined the 20 bucks

 how does one get the original ticket when it was pinched or blew off the bike ?

Did you write back to them and tell them that obvious little fact.

Maybe send a lightbulb with the letter and tell them to place it on their head while reading your letter, it might help.

I rode into town a couple of weeks ago and parked in the center opposite the post office in the Bike area. I spoke to a parking inspector and he advised me that there was no charge to park there. Did you park in a car spot or were you in the bike area. The signs there show that no ticket is required.

never ever leave the ticket on your bike. I always take it so if they do fine me I just send them a photocopy that I had paid for parking and then they can fuck off.
