G'Day all. I've been cruizin the forum and figured it was about time to pop my posting cherry with something I cant seem to find anywhere.

I am looking at an ex demo 09 Rocker for my first HD and in doing so would have to listen to she-who-must-be-obeyed and trade my trusty ZX6. The thing is I do some pretty big k's, 44,000 last year just going to work (all freeway), then add play time to that. By all reports that I can find the big 96B is the most reliable engine brought out thus far, but most people I see who post their kms are relatively small numbers compared to what I will be doing.

Can anyone shed some light on what sort of kms I should expect from this engine doing mainly freeway work before I am going to have to fork out some serious additional cash for rebuild / major overhaul / repair?

Any and all other advice regarding my pending purchase will also be appreciated.

There was a thread on here some where a while back about life and km's on th TC engines, all reports were showing well over 100,000
HD had road tested one across the staes and clocked up some serious km's with no faults.

I saw a mates softail std that got ridden pretty hard while touring for a couple of years, he clocked up just over 160,000 before putting a big bore kit, full rebuild and customise, the engine was still going strong aside from minor oil usage which he seemed to think was acceptable.
