    Hi guys,

Im going to check out a 2007 dyna wideglide tomorrow and would like to get a few opinions on what an approx value on them are in real world prices(not over inflated dealer prices). If anyone has sold or knows of one that has sold recently and could post up a ball park figure of what they got for it or bought one for that would be great.

At this stage i only have rough details on bike as the owner inherited the bike when a relly died. Info i have so far is 2007, approx 7000kms, worked motor(not sure on whats done), pipes, and a few other small things. I supose i will find out more when i check it out tomorrow.

Any other things that i should look at hard with this model that i may not be aware of ie common problems ect.?

    Thanks in advance guys.

If they are not asking for more than @ $22,000 it's a scam.it's up to you to deal.

You can get a 2010 at a good price ATM. The 2011 models will be here soon and stealers will want to move the 2010 stock.

I got one with about the same KMs on it a few weeks back (from a dealer) it included 6 months rego, V&H pipes and delivery to Sydney from QLD. If i was able to pick the bike up and it was a privet sale i would be looking at about the 23,000 - 25,000 mark depending on rego left. The 2010s are going cheap but if you look around here are not to many 07 Wide Glides with those sort of KMs on them for sale out there. It all comes down to what you want, I wanted another WG so that's what i got. The local dealers where trying to talk me into a new 2010 as well but by the time i changed the stuff i wanted on it, pipes, rear fender and what not it just wasn't worth it.

Again mate it just comes down to the money you have to spend and the type of bike you fell comfy on.

    Cheers

Well i went and checked the bike out. It is absolutely immaculate, charchol in colour and has 5300 kms on it. It has had a heap of work done on the motor when it was brand new, not sure exactly what as of yet but definatly has an aftermarket cam in it and decrompression buttons fitted with god knows what else. The bike rides great as it should(a hell of a lot diferent than the softails i must say) and pulls pretty hard but i didnt get a chance to open it right up. Only down side to the deal is the owner has booked to go to phillip island next month and wants the bike to go there so the kms will be around the 7500 mark when i get the bike. Not alot more but it has me wondering how much of a hard time the bike will get on the trip( the bloke is in his late 50's id say).

Anyway the price was negotiated pretty hard due to the fact i want a bike now and he wants it to go away with so i think if the bike is in the same condition on return of the trip ive got a bargain.

KB, i also looked at the new softail standard and the wideglide at the stealers and i wanted to change to much on the wideglide for it to be of any consideration to me. The stoftail was tempting new but i had a 96 softail for a couple of years(loved it) and thought a change may be in order.

So it now looks like im on the hunt for a turbo or supercharger kit to suit the new wheels. Been there and done the nitrous harley thing and loved it but that also is up for a change. I also have a very long 4 week wait to pick it up aswell, if it doesnt get damaged/scratched at all.

Mmmm seems you have a bargain and don't want to tell us how much . So if i was you i would ring him back and tell him you want it NOW offer to pay a little more maybee .
Because without a deposit , he's within his rights to still offer it for sale to any off thousands of bikers there . he may be hoping to get more for it there ,

Deposit has been put on the bike last sunday when inspected. Otherwise i wouldnt be saying that the deal was made unless the bike gets damaged. It also wasnt advertised and he had only told one person(the bike mechanic, who hasnt told anyone else) he was considering selling it.
