    Hi all ,

thinking of updating the forwards on my 99 wideglide soon, to some of those flashy ones instead of my stockers. any ideas / comments / pitfalls etc. im thinking of maybe 2" over as well cause i like to stretch out a little more - but how can i be sure?

    cheers all,

Mate, all I can say is I love mine. Just make sure you arent "reaching" for the pegs and you have a slight bend in your knee when seated with feet on pegs. You should be able to do some measurements before buying but unless you are overly tall/short there shouldnt be to much problem with off the shelf stuff.

Sorry I cant be of more help mate

    Go for it,

I put a set of billet forward controlls on my FXR, got them online from Ultima Australia cost less than half of what it was going to cost at the local dealers.
The only issue I had was the right foot peg dd not come out far enough from the frame which made it uncomfortable getting your leg around the aircleaner
and onto the foot peg. Some half inch peg extentions solved this.

    Cheers.

I had 3"extensions on my 06 WG and loved them (rite up till the smash). The only prob i had was when i put my 16"apes on i had to stretch a little to reach the pegs no biggie just a bit of a pain on the long runs. I have just ordered a set of 2"ones ($120 shipped from the US) for my new 07 WG so will see how they go. The only other thing i can suggest is shop around before buying a set as there are loads of diff prices and quality out there.

    Cheers
