Hi Guys/Gals, Pulling inner primary off 88twin cam 01 Fatty to replace inner bearing . Thought i had it sorted and going like a train until it didnt fall apart, looked back at the manual and saw the bit about the starter bolts removal. Is the starter bolted to the case and so needs removal? If thats the case it says to remove the oil tank  to get access to the starter bolts, I can see one of the suckers but probably couldnt undo it anyway, anyone taken it off wothout removing the oil tank or should i just do it and get on with it.

    Cheers

Tyre as in rear wheel? or just the inner guard like the manual says, The manual also says a HD tool is needed  to remove the oil lines, is it necessary or is there a  tool box option?

Fingers for the Oil lines, they are easy, Twist the covers away from the oil tank, then pinch the retaining clips between your fingers and pull the oil lines out.
