Fellas, bit hard to explain but I hope someone knows what I'm on about.

When turning at slow speeds, sometimes the front wheel feels like its forcing itself to rotate and not rolling freely, sought of a slight grinding feeling or feels like Im riding with the front break engaged.

Anyone know what this could be, doesn't happen all the time just every now and then.

    Cheers train

front brake hose crimping or twisting causing pads to close up ???

stick it on your bike lift and spin the wheel and turn front end side to side, see what happens

Is it a 2010 dyna with scorcher tyre? That's a pretty common symtom with the 2010 dyna's,they say it's the scorcher tyre but I'm not convinced on that one.

cm364652, it is a scorcher tyre, but I'm with you, I cant see that being the problem.

I've checked everything else and it seems it must be the wheel bearings. Like V2evo said, its a week old so I'll take to the shop on Monday and see what hthey say. One week and already this shit. Fucking joke

Yeah but when you get the bugs out of it you'll have a nice ride... I had a couple of early teething problems with my 09 BargeGlide but I stayed cool at the dealers and didn't kick up a fuss. My goal was to develop a decent relationship with them and it worked. (For what it's worth anyway)...

I had an issue with the fly by wire throttle that left me stranded on the side of the road at 700ks. HD Assist picked me up 45 minutes later and wifey arrived at the same time so not so bad.

Yeah I know what you're saying V2evo. The guy that I bought the bike from was actually an alright bloke so I'm sure he'll take care of it if there are any problems.

I just found a few threads on the US HD forum and a lot of blokes had the exaxt same vibration/noise thing going on with their Dynas. A lot of them put it down to the scorcher tyre as cm364 said.

I'll keep a close eye on it for sure. Need to get a bike lift

I'm betting its definately wheel bearings. My bike felt exactly the same when my bearings went. Can you grab the front rim and feel any sideways movement in it? That'll let you know if the bearings are stuffed or have to much play.
    Good luck.
Easy fix thou and then you will have an awesome ride again.

fellas, just an update for you all.

Bearings checked and everything ok, the only thing it can really come down to is the scorcher tyre as CM said.

Had it at the dealer yesterday for first service, all he he gave me was a blank look and said all the noises were normal. Couldn't be fucked getting into it with him. But if something goes wrong he'll get used to my face.

I've checked everything and all seems good, so if anyone else who has the scorcher tyre feels the same thing, let us know.

    Cheers

Yep i'm fugged if I can find the answer too this one Train.Everything checks out AOK but I just can't believe it's the tyre!!I'd be interested to know if anyone with this issue has fitted a fork brace and if that made any difference,I'd fit one myself but there so bloody ugly IMO.I was thinking maybe on a slight lean at slow speed the weight might be comeing off one fork leg allowing the spring to rattle around inside the tube?Clutching at straws I know but it is bloody annoying.Since it's only been the 2010 and now 2011 models with the problem it has to be one of the changes made on these mods that's causing it!!(scorcher tyres, floating front rotor) the rear shocks are also 1/2 inch shorter on these models but that's realy pushing it I know.Anyway I'll keep looking till I find the answer or the front tyre wears out and that fixes it(BUGGER)Cheer's WAZ!!
