    Hello there..

I am new to this forum and very soon I will be new to the HD game..... as I have ordere a FXDL to be delivered in Perth in September.
It was very helpful to follow the posts.
have been riding bikes for some time, however, I am about to realize my dream of getting that dream bike.

lately I began to question my choice.
It is between the low rider and the V-rod for me.

well, I love the looks of the low rider, looking at the bikes I am really driven towards the "low rider"....but I am afraid that I might get bored with the acceleration. I have been reading about the difference between torque and HP and I am still not sure as to how much more pull the v-rod actually has in real life??????!
In addition, I intend to take my girl for some long distance rides. Is the v-rod two up friendly?

Also, does anybody have any experience with the low riders cornering clearance??? Would I still be able to enjoy twisty canyon roads? Can I ride it aggressively? or is it an old peoples bike?

    thank you very much

    Daniel

we had a come and ride day, about 10 bikes to try, from reports the v-rod and night-rod were great rides, but the ride of the day from guys that rode a multiple of bikes said the FLSTSB Cross Bones.
I would have traded my bike in for one but the wife likes to come on rides and they are a solo bike

thank you for all your help...yes I did put down a deposit....and I will stick with it. You know it is a long time until september.....
I guess it is natural to second guess your choices...in the end it was that typical harley feel that I was after...and the fxdl will do the job....
    the replies really helped..thanks!

    sorry for double posting

Hope that you enjoy your new ride, I dont go for the look of the V Rod that much but there are alot out there.I think that you can customise the Dynas more to your liking, the V Rod I think is more limited, but at least you dont have to air cool your Harley. I rode a mates Buell today and had a ball on it but would not swap mine for it as it doesnt have that classic Harley look. You will just love the fun and mateship of having a Harley no matter what type.
