Just got my NON AUTOTUNE Thundermax premapped from Morgan&Wackers loaded it in myself and although I have only gone for a short ride (rain) the F#$king thing runs like a swiss watch,no popping on decel feels like more power, sounds better and I bought a tool bag and new grips with the money I saved on the autotune and still have a bit left.. Although it might not be as versatile as the autotune I am as happy as a pig in shit,$630 job done.

Thanks Greg and R.T.Can't do photo's at the moment Skull, the camera is on the blink. Not much to show anyway, just pulled one out and put the other in,simple ( but I did have the map loaded before I picked it up). You will love the thing Skull,I really tried not to get my hopes up too much but the bike is a pleasure to ride know and it wasn't running that bad before.

You are a barrel of laughs Scotty, but unfortunately you can also be a SMART ASS not everyone has to agree with your opinion (re-thundermax install) to be right !! I rang for advice and it is a simple problem to fix, just happens that the autotune map was downloaded by mistake, no problem as far as the running of the bike is concerned and a very simple thing to correct. Sorry to dissapoint you, and I thought you knew everything ?? And you are right, Sqeeech was very helpfull and he didn't have your God like attitude.

I didn't even get around to plugging the (son in laws) laptop into it Darkash, I read on another Forum last night that sometimes the problem can be sorted by zeroing the trip meter,so I did and that was that. Thanks for the added info,I haven't downloaded the smartlink disk yet, this is a slow learning curve for me and i appreciate any advice. One of the reasons I went for the non auto tune was simply that there is less that can go wrong. I dont think I have gained a lot in the way of increased power although I haven't had a chance to ride it that much since last w/kend? The bike was running pretty well anyway but it is now smoother,no popping, sounds better and definately running richer which is everything I had hoped for.

I've got about 16,000 km on the bike, but I think you misunderstood what I meant, I am saying the bike was running too lean for my likings and I am happy that it is know running a bit richer. When I understand a bit more about the mapping side of things I may have a go at changing it but the bike is running so well I can't really see how I could improve it.
