Fuel Economy

     Hi all,

Just a quick one to ask what you guys get out of your bikes fuel wise?

I have added an air kit and pipes to my 2010 Fat boy and tuned it with TTS.  Bike runs really well and pulls really hard - I love it.

I have taken notes on fuel usage and am getting about 5 to 6L to the 100.  eg:  I travelled 258k and put 14.5L back in the tank.  The fuel light was not on and it reckoned I had another 80ks in the tank, so I reckon I could hit the 300 mark - but would be seriously low.

    How does that rate?

    Cheers

    Mongrel

    Thanks mate!

Nope!! I never had a fuel gauge on the last bike. Always trusted Kms travelled, and will continue to do so here. I live in rural country and can be anything up to 30ks from a a servo, so when I hit 280 odd, I will be looking for a top up!! :)

    Cheers

That's good economy. I'm getting between 6.7 and 7.1L/100km on a TC88 Roadking. Has an aftermarket air filter, pipes and gear driven cam, tuned Mikuni carb. I'm hoping an ignition module will improve the economy. Then again, it is a heavier bike and a mid 90kg bloke riding it.

thats pretty much on the mark .the thing i like about the carby models is it has a reserve tap which takes a lot of the guessing out of the last precious klms of the tank.

I refuel at 300klm on my 07 Heritage but have gone 340klm before refueling, but have also run out at 280klm accross the Hay Plains sitting on 160/180klmh, so alot depends on riding style and conditions
