Just got quote from Fuel Moto in the States for a Thundermax. Comes pre-programmed to suit the bike.
Here's what they quoted for my 07 Nightie
Cheers Robo
IK thats a pretty good price for the T/MAX I have been running the thunder max on my 2008 fatbob, it runs very well and pulls hard all the way to 170 thereabouts - when the map was loaded from new all that needed was some updates entered - after 2yrs I checked it on a dyno just for my own peace of mind - the dyno tuner told me 'mate you wont find any better than that' - I wouldnt worry about going to any other device - its pretty hard to ask a question about another unit on this site without having the TTS jamed down your throat there are plenty of other options that people use on this site that are very happy with them such as big joes fuel shot etc ..... the TTS has its own set of problems by admission of the manufacturer such as doesnt work as well with some of the main manufacturers of exhaust and cams
2yrs plus riding with the thunder max I've had no problems whatsoever and it is just a plug in unit - I know of other people who have removed other units and gone back to their thundermax and some comments coming from other sites that they wished they'd kept it
thats just my own take on it but you wont go wrong with the TMAX
PS check out one of the sponsors Rollies speedshop - for this site- for a price - I found them over the years to be excellent in service and back up advise
Robo61 Did this burnout while you were riding or did it get moisture in it when you were washing it or whilst it was raining ?????
just a short story I bought a 2000night train and had ignition problems it cost be around $2000 I then thought F $#@ this and I went back to triumph
boneville. Had 2 ignition failures costing me around $3000 F$#@ this again bought a 2008 fatbob
it ran that hot that I had to have the barrels and rings replaced under warranty
on this site in 2008 and from other places I got information which suggested to put in the TMax and my bike would run better and cooler now 2 and half years later - they are telling me these are failing
as I do most of my riding Townsville Isa Broom and have been left on the side of the road with ignition failure ,,,,as most could understand I would like to avoid this from happening again
I know noone has a crystal ball but I've seen you've gone from TMax to PC5 to TTS
whats your opinion now after a few weeks of running TTS???? also I just put $20 in the pockies and won $500 so I am thinking of just going out to buy the TTS would this be enough money to buy it where you just bought it from???
thanks Slugger
Hilly these guys seem to agree with your line of thought and I'd say they'd would have spent a fair few dollars in research and they also build big cube motors
