compensator locking tool

    Is there a home made tool i can use to lock the  primary drive to get the nuts off the compensator and clutch  I thought  of wedging a spanner inbetween the chain and sprocket but  am a bit sus about damaging things.

    Use a rag also possible mate. Recently I pulled my Shovel to bits and my 3/4 drive, Makita 850W electric rattle gun knocked them straight off

    Thanks for the tips, i picked up a couple of nylon wedges that hold doors open, they might work also, not being tight but i hate buying tools for a one off job changing out the clutch bearing  and inner primary?in a bid to elimante whirring noise 2001 fatty

     One  2 pound Snapper sinker, I've used for years on chain primary, jam it in the teeth and away ya go.

    I used a broom handle cut to size. Worked a treat and no damage to sprockets.
