Here is a letter from Richard. Fred Madderom – Director, Sydney HOG Chapter. My name is Richard Cartwright, Managing Director of STONE Movie Limited / Platinum Productions Pty Ltd. You (I'm sure) will recall the classic Oz biker film of 1974, STONE? Well I have the rights and I am writing and producing a new STONE, paying homage to the original, but not mimicking. Reason for my contact, is I note you have a Chapter meeting this coming Tuesday and I would like to bring to you and your fellow members attention a unique opportunity to participate in the new STONE by way of a limited and very exclusive investment offer. This may be of interest to you and your members? If not, no problem, at least you will be aware of the new STONE. I attended a special screening of STONE at the National Film & Sound Archive with its creator Sandy Harbutt earlier this year and have lots to talk about. Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) rates STONE as the movie that not only influenced his career in film making the most but one of his favourite movies of all time. I hope this does take your interest? It is quite an exclusive and very limited opportunity that has many other related benefits. This may be of interest to other affiliated HOG Chapters in Australia, which I assume you have contact? We'd love to spread the word. My best to you and your members, Regards, Richard STONE Movie Limited

hi, i bet you his STONED off his face too, up the KAWA's
they just held a recent seminar in sydney..looking for investors to finace...suppose you could bargin with them for a spot as an extra...only cost ya $100,000 for 15 seconds of fame
No track record, but I guess you have to start somewhere. If he has some cred he has probably bagged in-principle commitment from the Film Finance Corp or one of the State film funders in which case he should mention it.
I suppose "Stone" is like the "Blues" You had to live it to feel it
Will Sandy Harbut be directing the new movie?? If he is I hope he makes some money out of it this time around
Rain rain go away I want to ride on a sunny day
Can anyone tell me if Sandy Harbutt is involved with the making of Stone 2????
Patch was owned by a Club, they were asked by the VVMC if it could be used by them. Was asked with respect and was granted with respect.
I may have misread the post but it sounds like Mr Cartwright wants some money, not actors.

He may want actors, but with no money no movie. So don't rush out to join the HOG club yet.

You are right Dave, the "Technical Advisers" for the movie was a 1% club who owned the patch rights.
