Just wondering if anyone has paid to have a big wheel conversion done on the back of a Softail and if so what was the cost...Ball park figure is fine...

    Cheers...Sparra

I haven't but I'm sure people will help but will need more info like for example do you mean fitting a 200 or so to an early softail, or a 240 to an 08+ model.

Sorry Daggs...I have a 95 FXSTC and the rear skinny wheel shits me....I was thinking 180/200 and was just chasing a ball park figure to get someone to do it...I figure the time it takes me to try and do it I am better off paying to get it done properly and spending that time working...Make sense??

    Cheers...Sparra

Hey Sparra this is my cost so far for what its worth,

Tyre and wheel brand new (never fitted) $400 ebay, Tyre is a 200 so I need to replace with a 180 or go chain... nup goin to a 180 tyre

Belt and pulley $120 from memory ebay again.

    2003 Swingarm $140 ebay

Still have to get brake and rotor, pulley spacer sorted, I have a guard that I will widen cos I am hoping to keep the same guard look.

Dont have the bucks to have someone do it so am tryin to do it in the shed with excellent advice and tips from the likes of dazza and others.

at least thats cheaper but but still alot of work for a 180 and will still look narrow on a softie, I would want to go to at least a 200

so its only got a 140 now? wow... in that case a 180 would be a great improvement

so wilso you have a pre 2006 dyna? even so 8K is friggin ridiculous.

Luckily I could mod my 08 to a 200 myself quite cheap but yes I know the earlier dynas require more work
