Noise level of V&H Big Shots Staggered

    I Had installed the Big Shots on my 2007 Street Bob.  Two weeks ago got nailed for excessive noise. When tested the pipes pushed 98db.

    Legal limit for the bike is 93db, I like the look of the pipes, and wonder if anybody has any idea how to lower the noise limit on the pipes.

    Have the quiet baffles which V&H supplied, fitted.

    Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

    Bugger.
    You could try the QQ (Quality Quiet) baffles from Big City Thunder.

    They are the only after market baffle specialists I know of.
    First you would have to make sure they will fit your pipes and then you'd have to get them shipped from, the us. At least the AU$ is nice and strong at the moment though.

    Might be worth checking US HD forums and Vtwin forums  to see what others say about them first though.

    J&P cycles have some good aftermarket baffles that will fit and will quiet them down a lot.

    goto the link above. I got some in for noisy cobras and they made it sound like a stocker.
