Hi Guys,

I have a brand new Fatboy (600kms on the clock) and I want to swap the speedo out.  I have ordered the speedo and asked that 1000kms be programmed into it, so that when i get it, I can run my bike up to 1000kms and then swap it out.

 

My question though.... is there any legal issues with doing this?  Do I need to do anything with the RTA etc??

Nothing to do with RTA, it is Department of fair trading issue, if there is one.

i've just bought a bike where the speedo has been upgraded, the previous owner stated that Harley Aus would not sell him the new speedo unless he provided photo evidence of the old readings
