I was just wondering how often you people adjust the primary chain on your sportsters. I have a 2008 883 std with 9,500ks on it. The first time i adjusted it was about 5,500 ks, then at its 8,000k service and now its got 9,500 and feels like it needs it again, no i havent looked yet but i know what it feels like when a bit slack! Any way was just wondering if anyone else needs to do it more often then the scheduled services. MMMM i do ride pretty hard most of the time after all what is a sporty for!!!! Just putting it out there in case i,ve got a weak primary chain or something and it needs replacing. Thanks in advance people, stay safe and upright boys and girls.

What makes you think the primary chain needs adjusting,does it make any sort of noises.
My 08 Sporty 883 has a loud clang when first gear is selected ?
I have changed the gear oil but have not adjusted the chain yet now done 2500kms
