Any advice on where to shop for Ironhead parts, expect over time I will need lots of various bits and pieces, but for the moment a Top End gasket kit and valve stem seals would be a start. Happy to shop online with any reliable retailers. Cheers, Chris.

Ok thanks, mechanic told me that front cylinder needed valve stem seals and/or valve guides...guess that answers the question of which. Can valve stem seals be retro fitted? Sporty is a 1979 XLH, or was originally..frame and engine numbers still match though. I have a leaky rocker cover gasket on the front cylinder so apparently the head must come off to repair it, I need Top End gasket kit and pushrod seals if they are not included....may need some valve guides too.

hi you can pull the front rocker box off with out pulling  it's head-off, don't worry about valve guide seals , if its worn-out , do a  top end rebuild barrels & heads  , that way you know were you are
