     Hi all, how’s it goin?

Like i said , have a few things need fixin and the oil tank is one.

Originally thought was leaking from engine somewhere

But found the oil tank on the inside was covered in shit (not literally)

So removed it and cleaned it up a bit. But buggered if i know how to find the leak/crack.

Or is it really worth fixin it.. Should i just find a replacement. Also the fuel tank is seeping

    petrol. Is this repairable?

Any thoughts or suggestions is tops!

    Cheers guys.

    I've used quicksteel before:

    www.hemmingsdiy.co.uk/quickste.htm

But to be honest I never really felt total "safe" knowing it was there, even though it plugged the leaks for the year I had that particular bike and it was pissing out fuel.  Since your tank is leaking it prolly means the inside is full of rust and "experts" say that if a rusted tank gets to the point of leaking fuel its time to replace it.  Stopping the leak wont mean the tank wont rip apart easily in a minor crash if the rust has made it waffer thin.  And being covered in petrol while sliding down the road could be a bad thing...

Btw, I'm sure I bought the quicksteel from BigW, or supercheap.

Yeah shit , you’re right. It definitley would be a bad thing! So i went with what the

“experts” say and bought another tank.

Cheers for the tips mate. Might sound like a dumb ass question but is kero the right stuff for general cleaning of parts as well?
