just wondering if any of you guys use a throttle rocker, they seem like a good idea for the long boring bits in between the twisty bits, sorta like a basic cruise control, they look simple enough and could help you rest your grip on the throttle?
Looks like a simple idea.!
Does it just clip on and off ?
it seems to just clip on and off.
I have one that I have used from time to time...Once you get used to them they do let you stretch your hand out and move your fingers around but until then be careful..Sometimes when I have gone to back off the lever hits your hand and stops your throttle from rolling back...I have a mate with one and he swears by it for long rides,he used to use his factory throttle lock but he wore it out so this is the next best thing...
stupid question time,,,,,, what factory throttle lock is that? does a sportster have one too????
Don't know about Sporty's but on my Softail, just under the throttle housing is a black star headed thumb type screw that can be screwed in to tighten the throttle and stop it rolling back to idle...I think it is for warming the bike up when first starting but a lot of people use it like a cruise control...The problem I see with this is that if shit happens and you have your throttle locked on it can make a bad situation worse...
thanks, i`m gunna have a look at mine lata and see if it`s got one of them, but, i think i`d perfer not to lock the throttle, just rest the hand and wrist abit
thanks hound dog, i`ll do that tonight. (((-:
it`s nice to relax your grip! lol (((-: thanks 308
Hey 308, what hound dog said.
