Hey guys and girls, I want to clean up my rear guard by removing the taillight, would like the indicators to do the job of running/stop and turn signal, do the nighsters have this setup?

Yeah, Nightsters and Irons run a combined stop, indicator set up that is LED.

Thanks Damon, do you know if the running light is incorperated as well?   Would love to know what parts are required, there must be some sort of module running that setup.

I priced them a while back. Cant remember exactly, but Not cheap. Found parts numbers by searching US Forums.

Thanks, one more thing....are the rear lenses split between orange and red??

Thanks for the info, the US nighsters appear to have red lenses and the whole indicator acts as a turn signal in red so the aussie ones must be unique for us and the poms due to it being illegal to have red turn lenses. I wonder if the light module is different, all very confusing to me, its hard to get any info from the US forum as their light setup laws are different.   :-(

Yep thats right all one sealed unit.
they cost about 400 Bucks to replace so dont try open it
you can get after market turn signals licks cycles have a few that are smaller bullet style but you need to add load to make them work.
You can also get a dyna tail light/number plate assembly that should fit onto the last hole where the taillight support bracket attaches to.
kind of a bobber style thing but frees up the back of the fender from all that clutter.
I am going that way eventually.

after seeing the turn signals on a current model Iron 883 i did some looking around and found you can get kits from the US to get the same effect

So they just go inside you stock indicators and run a brake light wire to them? 

not sure .. u might need to get a load-equalizer.  I dont suppose anyone has done this mod yet who can tell us  ??
