I'm in Perth and planning to ride from Adelaide to Perth after shipping the bike to Adelaide. The snag is that apparently Indian Pacific won't ship a bike over. Anyone got any ideas other than riding the round trip? Any other ways of getting the bike across?

I used this mob http://www.motorbiketransport.com.au/ late last year to ship my new softy from Adelaide to Perth with no dramas.
A guy from work used him as well 2 weeks later to ship his new softy with no problems either.
I did a far bit of ringing around and I found his price and manner quite reasonable. By the way it cost me $420 plus $200 for the crate and they packed it for me but that was back in December (when fuel wasn't the same price as gold).

Thanks for all the responses. I'll be sure to check out these suggestions. Will post back and let you know how I get on. A friend is suggesting that we wait until October and then go all the way from the Hog rally in NSW back to Perth. Sounds like a plan and a bit more interesting than just doing the nullarbor.
